Where are you located?
“I’m currently based in Sydney, Australia, and have been living in this beautiful city since 2018, I love living by the beach so if you’re looking for me after hours, you’ll find me there. I am originally from Manchester, UK (there’s no beaches in Manchester)“
Why did you start Palm Socials?
“My original goal was simple, like many I wanted to work from my laptop from anywhere in the world. I love traveling and experiencing new places so I craved the flexible work-life balance that having my own business would enable me to have.
I was determined to leave behind the 9-5 and start my own journey. My journey started as a Virtual Assistant and I quickly realised that I had a passion for social media marketing & content creation then my business went full speed ahead in that direction.”
What were you doing before?
“Whilst I started Palm Socials I was working in a retirement village in Sydney as the Assistant Village Manager, six weeks into starting Palm Socials I quit my job and never looked back. When I first moved to Sydney I set up my own lash and brow business and before flying the nest in Manchester I worked for a high-end wedding venue as the events manager.”
What’s your favourite Instagram feature?
“Reels!!!! The engagement and reach that you can gain from Reels is insane and I really enjoy making them and I have gained so many new clients and followers since using this feature, I just know you’ll see the results I have when you start loving them too! I love sharing this knowledge with other businesses so they can achieve the same results!”
